Easy Summer Facepacks -DIY

Summer is here and so am I. It is my subtle way of saying I am not here much. But I am sure you are going to love this post. I am lazy to even use the store bought facepacks just because It takes time to wash it off. If you are anything like me then this post is for you.

I am sharing 3 face packs with you in this post. So lets get to it.

Papaya face pack argvwef

Papaya : Do I even have to talk about its benefits both health and beauty. This fruit is easily available these days. You just need a little bit of it and rest you can eat it or put it in your salad. Healthy living I say.:-P . You don’t have to cover the face with a thick layer of papaya pulp, you just need a spoonful of it. Apply on the face and let it dry. Meanwhile you can get to the remaining papaya. You will feel the skin tighten as it dries, wash it off with cold water.

It cleans the pores, removes tan and gives a healthy glow to the skin.

watermelon

Watermelon : Who can forget this during summer? This is our summer staple and this is one of my favorite too. Unlike Papaya, you need not mash it, you can just take a small piece and rub it all over the face. Leave it on till dries and wash it with cold water.

This cools down the skin and removes any dirt from the skin. Once you wash you will see a much cleaner face.

cucumber

Cucumber : Summers and we don’t talk about this?! Cucumber is popularly known for its beauty benefits and lets not get into its health benefits, this post will take forever then. Once used on skin, it removes tan, cleans the pores, cools down the skin, Closes the pores.

  • Take a slice of cucumber and rub it all over the face. Once dried, wash it off.
  • Grate the cucumber and apply it roughly all over the face. Dry it and wash it off with cold water.
  • Grate the cucumber, squeeze the juice and apply this on the skin. Let it dry and wash it off with plain cold water.

Though I prefer the store bought products, these packs are good to use during summers. They feel light on the skin and cools down the skin. Ideally I am sure you can use any fruit on skin. I can bear the smell of these 3 and oranges, but we don’t get oranges now so, these 3 should do for me.

  • They feel light on the skin.
  • Dries off quickly.
  • Cools down the skin.
  • Calms the sun burnt skin.
  • Pore cleansers and closers.
  • Clears the skin
  • Gives Healthy glow.

What more do you need from the face Packs. Go try it out and let me know how you feel.Do leave in the comments your summer facial fruit.

Till the next post take care..mwah.

Helloo How are you all doing? As much as i wish to write here, there are few things that are coming in the way. I am working on those and I am sure I would be in the right state of mind and write here often. I am trying to do small posts and share effective DIY’s with you all.

Today’s DIY is another Ayurvedic remedy. This is to stay away from all the skin problems and odour free this summer. Add half a lemon and some salt ( Preferably Rock salt) to your bath. Salt removes all the dirt and lemon removes the tan and keeps you fresh. Go ahead and enjoy your citrusy fresh bath.

Dandruff Free recipe – DIY

mademoiselle+jules+lemon+coconut+oil

Today I am posting another DIY Which is super easy and shows amazing results. The climate transition made my scalp revolt causing dandruff. I was advised “The best thing to get rid of dandruff is to stay stress free”. Stress free !!!!?. I have like 5 strands on my head and there is dandruff and you asking me to stay stress free. I wanted to try the natural ways to get rid of it, as dandruff shampoos are filled with chemicals and I don’t want to lose those 5 strands too. I tried Methi/Fenugreek pack, curd packs. Finally I gave in to the shampoo, but they didnt help the problem much either.

Recently I came across this booklet of Ayurvedic medicine (Medical science of Ancient India ) . This is written by Panditha Maharshi Elchuri, I am sure if you are from Andhra Pradesh you would have definitely heard of him. Today’s Post is one of his recipes.

You just need 2 ingredients for this

Good Quality Coconut oil

Lemons

For Half a kg 500 gms of coconut oil you need 5 medium sized lemons. Extract the juice from the lemons and mix it with coconut oil. Put this on low flame and let it boil till only the oil is left.Cool it and strain and pour it in a clean bottle.

How to Use it:

Every day morning or Evening apply this oil on scalp and use any herbal hair wash powder or shampoo. Do not oil your hair again after the wash.

On regular use you will see the results in few days itself. It claims to get rid of dandruff, lice, itchy scalp, hair fall and make hair black.

My Verdict :

It s been 3 days since I started using this recipe. Though My dandruff is not gone completely, i can feel its lessened and no itchy scalp. The bonus, my hair looks super shiny and healthy.

I am also using the shampoo, mentioned in the booklet. The ingredients are a bit difficult to find and I have to get the english names for those which I am not sure I can find all. If you still want me to share do let me know, I will share the other recipes as well.

Till then stay wise beauty wise. Happy weekend to all.

XOXO

Rice starch for hair

fotolia_8250815_XS

Do you know you can get naturally straight and voluminous hair at home. This is literally my Grandmother’s recipe.

When cooking rice, strain excess water from almost cooked rice and keep it aside to cool. The starch is thick in consistency. After shampooing apply this on the hair and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse it off with water and let them dry naturally.

It not only adds volume and straightens hair, it adds a healthy shine too.

Things to remember :

  • Have to make it fresh.
  • Use only rice not the rice powder.
  • You can even add fresh hibiscus leaves and soak it for few hours.
  • The consistency will be thicker than than the plain water

Add A drop of peppermint oil just for that tingly tangly feel. (This step is completely optional)

Go easy on the oil, if it becomes too oily, then becomes difficult to scrub (from experience 🙂 )

How to use it:

Take little scrub and gently scrub your lips with your ring finger. And Wipe it off. You don’t need to apply Lip balm after that.  You can use this regularly to get soft smooth lips.
