Summer Outfits

When we say summer outfits, all we can think about is the easy breezy clothes that feels like nothing on the skin. When we say easy breezy does not mean mundane or boring, they can be stylish too. Take your pick from the styles below.

  1. Shorts :

shorts

Shorts are the first ones to come to our mind. Shorts does not have to be dedicated for beaches, you can team it up with a well fitted blazer for those casual brunch meetings.

2. Culottes:

culottes

Who can forget these airy, comfortable pants. You can team them up with a crop top and a blazer or go casual with just an oversized tee or go formal with well fitted blouse or shirt. Take a hint from the ladies above.

3. Summer Dresses:

summerdresses

Florals,Prints, maxis, little dresses in bright colors or Pastels. When it comes to dresses there is a wide variety. You can pick according to your comfort and stay calm.

4. Skirts :

skirts

Who can go wrong with the long skirts. You can pick your fabric and team them up with a tee or tank tops or even a cotton blouse.

5. Kurtis with Palazzos:

kurtipalazzos

As much as I love wearing shorts and dresses, by the end of the day I love Indian wear. They are so versatile if you are open to bit of experimenting. The place where i live is a bit conservative, so I prefer wearing Indian outfits. Wearing just the kurta, salwar everyday can be a bit frustrating, so I usually team up kurtis with Palazzos or the Culottes. They not only amp up the style quotient, they can be ever so comfortable.

6. Kurtis with Skirts :

I love wearing long skirts, especially the cotton ones. I usually wear them with a cotton blouse or a tank top and scarf. After moving back to my hometown with the limited options in clothing I started teaming them with long kurtis. And they have become my comfort wear ever since. They are ethnic, comfortable without compromising on the style.

7. Sarees: cottonsarees

Sarees!!! The Never ending Love story. I love wearing sarees. I have seen only sarees around while growing up. So many varieties, so many fabrics,so many styles. The list never ends. I personally believe every  Girl looks her best in a saree. I usually wear them on sundays to the church or just whenever feel like it. I usually prefer wearing cotton ones of the fabrics locally bought. With the right blouse you can don a saree anytime you want.

Hope you like my Compilation of summer Outfits. In my next post I will talk about the Summer fabrics. I would love to hear your personal favorite in the comments.

Post Threading Care

Well Threading can be painful as it is and if you are prone to get rashes or the bumps then it can be a bit of concern. Threading is considered the most efficient method to get rid of the facial hair. And it is an old and common method of removing facial hair.

threading-upper-lip-hair

More than my eyebrows, I get my upperlip and chin hair removed often. An almost an year ago, I suddenly started getting painful bumps on my skin post threading. I switched to waxing but was facing the same problem. After trying out lot of things to do before and after threading, I’d settled down with these things which I am mentioning below.

  • NEVER scrub your face after threading, this will not just irritate your skin, you will end up bruising it. Always scrub before the threading as it helps the threading easier and helps with the ingrown hair.
  • Do not Exfoliate/Steam your face.
  • Do not touch the skin as the pores will be still open and the dirt gets inside.
  • Do not bleach your face for atleast 24-48 hrs.

What must you do :

  • Try an ice cube or cold compression to avoid redness.
  • You can wipe it off with rosewater. This can help soothing the skin and also close the pores.
  • Aloe vera gel also a good option to apply over the skin.
  • If you are prone to get pimples or bumps, try a soothing face pack. I usually use acne free packs and this one worked as a charm. I make sure I use a face pack and leave my skin bare.

Easy Summer Facepacks -DIY

Summer is here and so am I. It is my subtle way of saying I am not here much. But I am sure you are going to love this post. I am lazy to even use the store bought facepacks just because It takes time to wash it off. If you are anything like me then this post is for you.

I am sharing 3 face packs with you in this post. So lets get to it.

Papaya face pack argvwef

Papaya : Do I even have to talk about its benefits both health and beauty. This fruit is easily available these days. You just need a little bit of it and rest you can eat it or put it in your salad. Healthy living I say.:-P . You don’t have to cover the face with a thick layer of papaya pulp, you just need a spoonful of it. Apply on the face and let it dry. Meanwhile you can get to the remaining papaya. You will feel the skin tighten as it dries, wash it off with cold water.

It cleans the pores, removes tan and gives a healthy glow to the skin.

watermelon

Watermelon : Who can forget this during summer? This is our summer staple and this is one of my favorite too. Unlike Papaya, you need not mash it, you can just take a small piece and rub it all over the face. Leave it on till dries and wash it with cold water.

This cools down the skin and removes any dirt from the skin. Once you wash you will see a much cleaner face.

cucumber

Cucumber : Summers and we don’t talk about this?! Cucumber is popularly known for its beauty benefits and lets not get into its health benefits, this post will take forever then. Once used on skin, it removes tan, cleans the pores, cools down the skin, Closes the pores.

  • Take a slice of cucumber and rub it all over the face. Once dried, wash it off.
  • Grate the cucumber and apply it roughly all over the face. Dry it and wash it off with cold water.
  • Grate the cucumber, squeeze the juice and apply this on the skin. Let it dry and wash it off with plain cold water.

Though I prefer the store bought products, these packs are good to use during summers. They feel light on the skin and cools down the skin. Ideally I am sure you can use any fruit on skin. I can bear the smell of these 3 and oranges, but we don’t get oranges now so, these 3 should do for me.

  • They feel light on the skin.
  • Dries off quickly.
  • Cools down the skin.
  • Calms the sun burnt skin.
  • Pore cleansers and closers.
  • Clears the skin
  • Gives Healthy glow.

What more do you need from the face Packs. Go try it out and let me know how you feel.Do leave in the comments your summer facial fruit.

Till the next post take care..mwah.

These days the only company I enjoy but does comes with few things like eating Nail paints or chewing on my footwear or scratches on my hands.  But the moment he looks at you, all those things are forgotten. Parenting comes In surprising ways for sure. 🙂
